With an immense assortment of house cleaning products available on sale these days, it seems quite easy to choose those products, which work best for each room in your house, be it a living room, bathroom, kitchen and what not. However, the prevailing amount of these products contain harmful ingredients, which can pose a serious danger to human health and if you use them quite often, this may be dangerous for your life and the health of your loved ones you live with.

Since time immemorial, people have used eco-friendly, simple and very affordable house cleaning products. They are not always cheap, but also healthy and this is what makes these products the best solution for your home cleaning needs. The list of these products is provided below.

1. Vinegar

Vinegar is a universal cleaning product, but you shouldn’t use it the way it is sold. To use vinegar, just mix the product and water in equal proportions and pour it into a spray bottle. Apply the solution on the surface that needs cleaning. You can also use the spray on the cooking surfaces, for example, to prevent the spread of bacteria. Vinegar is also frequently used in the rooms to refresh the color of the carpets. To do that, apply the solution to the area that has to be cleaned to get rid of such problems as wax stains and even resin. Apart from that, vinegar can be applied to clean bathroom tiles, but do not forget to air the room after the cleaning.

2. Baking Soda

Many people mistakenly believe that baking soda can be used for baking cakes and biscuits. However, this is not so and this product can also be used to clean and disinfect the house. It has the property to absorb smells, which makes it possible to get rid of any unpleasant smells from your home. You can make small sacks filled with soda and place them in your fridge, laundry shelves, and product areas to get rid of unpleasant smells. If you wish to clean your pot or dishes, for instance, you won’t go without soda as well. Just apply a bit of the product on the surface and wash it well with water. Your dishes will be clean and sparkling again!

3. Mustard

Mustard has perfect fat dissolving properties, which makes the product the best choice for any kitchen! If you need to clean your oven and the area around it, just mix 2-3 tablespoons of dry mustard with water and leave for about 10 minutes. Then apply the mixture on the surfaces that require cleaning and wash with a soft cloth. Repeat the procedure in those places, where the stains and dirt are too dense.

4. Potatoes

You will be surprised to find out that fresh potatoes are one of the best ways to clean the windows. Just divide the potato into two halves and rub the windows with it. Then clean the windows with soft dry cloth or a piece of newspaper. This is a simple and affordable way to wash the windows.

5. Lemon

Lemons have antibacterial characteristics and their juice can even dissolve a limescale. To clean the teapot from limescale, just cut one lemon, put it inside the teapot and boil it twice until all the limescale dissolves. To give your kitchen and bathroom chrome taps the initial gloss, rub them with a part of a lemon, leave for 5 minutes and then rinse with water and wipe with a soft dry cloth. To get rid of the unpleasant smell in the fridge, just wash it with water mixed with fresh lemon juice and baking soda to clean the surface.
