You come home from a hard working day and have the only desire: to rest in the circle of close people you love. But… the unexpected ring at the door ruins your plans for the whole evening because your friends suddenly decide to pay a visit to you. So, you don’t have another choice but to treat them with something, which is easy and quick to cook and involves simple ingredients you have at hand.

What to Treat Your Guests With?

To decide what to treat your unexpected guests with, you first need to open your fridge and see what products you have there. Do you have pasta or any cereal there? Or, maybe, there are sausages, eggs, fish, meat, mushrooms, fruit or vegetables there? Anyway, it is impossible that you don’t have anything at all in your fridge, so you will always have something to cook for your unexpected guests. As you see, the situation is not that catastrophic as you may initially think!

Let’s start with the appetizer, for example. You can cook vegetable or fruit salads for the start. If it is spring or winter, you can use sour cabbage or pickled cucumbers to cook the salad. These products will give the appetizer nice sour taste and unusual look, depending upon other ingredients you will add there. The next dish you can cook is Salty Rafaello. You just need to boil 2 eggs, grated cheese, one boiled carrot and mix the components, having added home-made mayonnaise to make the dish tasty and healthy. The whole process will not take it longer than 15 minutes, but the result will be fantastic!

Now, let’s process to the hot dish. If you have chicken fillet in a fridge, wash and cut it first, then pound it a bit. Then you should cut the vegetables you have in your fridge and put them on the bottom of the baking pan. Put chicken fillet above and cover the dish with home-made mayonnaise and grated cheese. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes and you won’t regret the result! Your guests will appreciate the dish!  By the way, you can replace chicken fillet with fish or pork. It may take more time for the dish to be cooked, but the result will also be worth the time and effort!

Finally, you will need to cook the dessert! Apples can be found in any home regardless of the time of the year. So, why not bake the apple pie? Just cut the apples, put them on the bottom of the baking pan covered with the dry bread crumbs and pour them with the batter made of flour, eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, baking soda, and salt. Bake in the oven at 220 C (480 F) for about 25-30 minutes and treat your guests! They will certainly be amazed by your cooking talent!
