Classic chicken adobo recipe that's simple to make and loved by all who try it. It has been modified to be a bit saucier than traditional adobo and is delicious served over rice.

Ingredients

  • vegetable oil: 2 Tbsp
  • chicken: 1 piece (3 pound, cut into pieces)
  • onion, quartered and: 1 piece (sliced)
  • garlic: 2 Tbsp (minced)
  • low sodium soy sauce: 0.66667 cup
  • white vinegar: 0.33333 cup
  • garlic powder: 1 Tbsp
  • black pepper: 2 tsp
  • bay leaf: 1 piece
