Love this fresh cranberry sauce for the holidays instead of canned cranberry sauce. People who typically do not like cranberry sauce, love this one.

Ingredients

  • cranberries: 2 packages (12 ounce packages, fresh)
  • orange juice: 2 cups
  • white sugar: 2 cups
  • oranges, zested: 2 piece
  • walnuts: 1 cup (chopped)

  1. Combine cranberries, orange juice, sugar, and orange zest in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Stir in walnuts. Refrigerate 8 hours to overnight before serving.
